Join pianist Hermione Johnson for maintenance. In this exhibition the term maintenance is used to name the practice of integrating live sound with electronic sound. Maintenance references practices of care offered by a living person.

Booking is encouraged but not essential.

BIOGRAPHY

Hermione Johnson is a pianist and composer from Tāmaki Makaurau. She is best known as an improviser, and with this, she has been a significant force in the Aotearoa experimental music scene. Her playing centres largely on extended and prepared piano techniques, focusing on the timbral qualities of the instrument.
