Binna Choi announced as mentor for Curatorial Intern

We are pleased to share that this year curator Binna Choi will be the external mentor to Jingcheng Zhao, our Kaiwhakamahiri Pirihi Taiwhenua Curatorial Intern for 2025.
Binna Choi is a South Korean curator, who together with Wassan Al-Khudhairi and Noelle M.K.Y. Kahanu curated the Hawai‘i Triennial 2025: ALOHA NŌ currently on view. Prior to that, Choi served as the director at Casco Art Institute: Working for the Commons in the Netherlands, leading its institutional un/becoming to the current name and dedication with key projects such Grand Domestic Revolution, Site for Unlearning (Art Organization), Travelling Farm Museum of Forgotten Skills, Arts Collaboratory. Since 2024, she serves as the supervisor for Doosan Curator Workshop. Choi also co-curated Singapore Biennale 2022, named Natasha, and worked as the curator for the 2016 Gwangju Biennale.
