New Artists Show 2020 announcement

The Artspace Aotearoa team is incredibly proud to present the New Artists Show 2020, opening Friday 7 August. We were inspired by the diversity and high quality of the work among more than 60 proposals received for the open call. For this reason we decided to select more artists than initially planned and are pleased to announce nine artists that will participate in the exhibition. Their proposals engaged with imaginative and innovative approaches to challenge, and push the boundaries of the exhibiting spaces in our new gallery. We considered proposals which feel relevant and have agency - culturally, socially, and politically in Aotearoa and beyond.
