Nirvana Haldar and Whiro Walker residency events

How does a local residency be responsive to the changes of everyday life and remain true to an artist’s practice and needs? In this Parallax: residency, space and time are used for making and sharing resources. Nirvana Halder and Whiro Walker will share their experience of their nine week residencies in a series of workshops, film screenings, and other gatherings.

Workshop two: Thursday 25 September 5–7pm
In the following weeks, Nirvana and Whiro will deliver A Dialectics of Dreaming, a two-part workshop inviting audiences to participate in a series of reading, writing, drawing activities to make a collective chapbook. The topic of dreaming is one of the most common connections we have across people, history and time. These workshops extend from the artists’ long term interest in pedagogy as a way to provoke understanding, interrogation and communication. They also invite us to sit in moments of agonising, while also seeking collective hope and desire.
Closing event

Join Nirvana and Whiro for a closing event to celebrate the end of their residency.
